It's big. It's bad. And it's FINALLY LIVE. Check out my new blog.
Thank you sooooo much for being faithful visitors to this ol' blog of mine. I launched it just over a year ago when I started my photography business, so this blog has seen it all! I love it...but I love the new one even more! You can still browse this blog to look in the archives. This will be the very last post here though. All of the new posts can be found at:

A Surprise is in Store
Yes, I'm still here and back from Ashland - which was AMAZING! I've got a lot to catch up on...unpacking, sleep, print orders, meetings, shoots, a wedding this Saturday and a little surprise that I've been working on for you. Stay tuned. Trust me, it's worth it! Well, I definitely think so!

Wherefore art thou?
Hello from Ashland, Oregon - home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and location of Leesha + Jamie's wedding! There's too much to see and too much going on today as I prepare for their wedding tomorrow...so I'll post a quick pic of the park where they're tying the knot. Right now, I'm headed to the park to hang out with the couple and their wedding planner. In the meantime, you need to check out Jamie's blog - click here. He's an amazing author who WILL (mark my word) be famous one day very soon. Have a fun weekend and I'll be back in action next week with tons of wedding pictures of Katy + Matt, Candice + Matt and Leesha + Jamie! P.S. I also have a surprise in store...

Hailey
OK, I'm back to my posting frenzy! I've got some major catching up to do. Seniors, weddings, familes...and the summer madness is just beginning. I'm taking off for Oregon to shoot a wedding this weekend, 2 more weddings in Great Falls and then a wedding in Bigfork! My postings are going to become a bit shorter for the next several weeks because I'll be on the road, but I promise to keep you in the loop.
Someone who has been extremely patient waiting to get a glimpse of her shoot is Hailey! Check her out - so beautiful and such a sweetie! She's so wonderful that she actually danced with me to the Michael Jackson CD that was blasting in my car.

Kayla
Remember Kayla? Well, here are the rest of my faves from our shoot. It started off with her hair + makeup appointment at The Living Room and ended in a car wash! I'll explain...
For the past 2 years, Kayla has been helping her dad completely restore an oh-so-cool '69 Cutlass. I was racking my brain on where to take her for the "car shot." I finally found this old fashioned car wash, although I was a little bit hesitant to ask her parents to bring their spotless, classic car into an old car wash. But when I told them where to take the car, they laughed and said, "That's exactly where we always take our car to get it washed!" Guess it was meant to be. :)
Jordyn
Once again....a senior who knocked me out with her beauty, brains, charm and fashion.
That leads into something I want to talk about: clothing. One of the most common questions I get asked is "What do I wear?" I always answer the same way. BE YOURSELF. Do NOT wear a crisp, white, collared shirt that looks like you're wearing a uniform. Wear stripes, wear logos, wear funk, wear jeans with an old shirt. Just make sure you are YOU. Jordyn never even asked me what to wear. She just rolled up with her fun hat, tie-dyed shirt, leopard print ballet slippers and skull sweatshirt. I was in heaven with this girl...too fun!

Headshots
Need an updated headshot? Does yours show you posing with a rose? Are you pretending to answer a phone? Does your photo look like an ad for AquaNet hairspray?
Headshots aren't only for seniors. If you want to stand out, a funky/fresh/personalized headshot is perfect for real estate agents, business owners, CEOs or...a kick butt movie producer, like the gentleman below. Stu and I had way too much fun coming up with new headshots for his film company, Yellow Wood Films. I've got a TON to show to you from this session. Here's just a taste of what we came up with. I'll definitely be posting more from this one when I finally catch my breath. :)

My mood today is...
HAPPY. My husband Matt gets home tonight after being gone for TEN WEEKS! He's been doing some training for his job and I've been counting down the days until he's back in Montana. Now I'm counting down the hours!

Brooke
The Bebbington Family
He's from England. She's from Montana. And their baby is the perfect combination of the two of them. I knew exactly where I had to take them...
Moving onto downtown. Too bad the bus couldn't take us...
Hair alert: if you need the most incredible, reads-your-mind type of hair stylist - this is your girl! Michelle works at The Living Room and rocks at both color + cuts. She's the one who worked her magic on my hair for this shoot.
The perfect ending.
