Kristen + Ty: sneak peek

My wedding season picks back up tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited for this one. Kristen + Ty are just the cutest couple ever! She works at the Physical Therapy Center of Great Falls, which is where I did my PT sessions after my brain hemorrhage ordeal. She always welcomed me with the biggest, warmest smile. Ty is a firefighter for the City of Great Falls and is just as friendly as his soon-to-be wife. I've got tons of fun pictures to share from their engagement session, but I've got tons to do today...so here's a few for ya! Have a fun weekend everyone and I'll post more from their e-session and wedding in the near future.

Introducing the future Mr. + Mrs....

Yep, the good ol' Wise Potato Chips truck really came in handy this time. Couldn't have been the more perfect spot to start off Laci + Tayler's engagement session. No joke...that's Tayler's last name. Love it! The truck was actually the only planned location. I haven't done a session that's completely spontaneous in months, so I was ready for a challenge...and they were too! Here's a bit of what we came up with in just over an hour...

April + Tim

Over the river and through the woods....and down the gravel road, past the cabins, cows and horses. This was the most I've traveled for an engagement shoot and it was worth it! April + Tim are having a destination wedding, so they wanted to have their engagement photos done somewhere that's very special to them. That place is Tim's family cabin, deep in the woods. And they're such sports that although it makes sense to end a shoot in the water, we STARTED the shoot in the river! Thanks guys for the trip to the cabin!

Obviously, these last two were not done at the cabin. We saw these spots when we stopped in Cascade. :)

Whitney + Doug + Carson + Ellie + Calvin

It's an engagement, dog and family session all wrapped into one! I'm shooting Whitney + Doug's home reception this September after their wedding at Swan Lake, so this was a nice way to get to know them...and their 3 dogs...better! Whitney + Doug are such a sweet, easy going couple madly in love with the most energetic dogs I've ever seen! I'm looking forward to meeting more of their family and learning more about their love story. :) Look for their reception pictures in September!

Janet + Travis

You know it's going to be a fun shoot when it starts like this...

This couple exemplifies the reason why I love my "job." Hanging out with them was like a double date. And I say double because Matt came with me! He never comes to shoots, but that evening he thought it would be fun to just "hang out." Before I knew it, he had his hat on backwards, camera bag hanging from his hip and fat lens in front of his face! He snagged some awesome shots and we had an absolute blast with Janet + Travis. They are remodeling a home in Great Falls and wanted to do the entire shoot around the house. It was a PERFECT location and I couldn't believe I hadn't seen these spots before! What more can I say? Just look at how cute they are together!

Matt got this one...

After playing around outside, we went INSIDE their soon-to-be home which is still under construction.

Thanks for the date! Congratulations!

Joey + Patrick

I'm way, way behind on my blog postings so I'm starting a massive posting blitz. There may be several in one day. First up -- my first shoot from Baltimore. Joey is Mia's cousin and helped me scheme in the big surprise! I met her a few years ago when she visited Montana, so it was great to hang out in her hometown AND meet her husband-to-be. They are ridiculously cute together and bring out each other's sense of humor. Constant laughs and goofiness! The town of Annapolis holds very special meaning for them, which is why we chose to do their entire shoot there. And the rain didn't stop us! In the top image, I had them lay down and look up at me. Right away, I heard something and asked, "What's that noise?" Patrick: "That would be rain." We laughed so hard and I MADE them stay. J+P: Thanks for letting the rain drops pelt you in the face - it was worth it!!!

Candice + Matt

When this adorable couple asked me to shoot their wedding, I tried to learn as much as I could about them. Cars quickly found their way into the conversation. Matt is crazy about classic cars...and Candice is such a sweetie that she doesn't seem to get annoyed like I sometimes do when my Matt goes on & on about cars. So, picking out the location of their engagement shoot was a no-brainer. We started out at a car garage and ended up in the backyard of a car repair shop. See you two in August!
