Along came Goosetine...

After Barbara lost her furry best friend, she never thought she'd be able to have another dog. But then along came Goosey - her son's pit bull. Barbara is taking care of her "granddog," which has been a complete blessing in her life. And it's obvious how much joy she brings to the house!

The colorful quilts used in this shoot were handmade by Barbara herself. Each one takes months of time, yards of fabric and tons of passion. They make perfect backdrops and symbolize their strong bond.

I've always been a dog lover, but never really hung out with a pit bull. All I can say is their reputation for being *tough* is way off. Goosetine (GOOSE-TEEN) is one of the most lovable, huggable, kissable animals out there. I went home that day and told Matt - "I want a pit bull." If you'd like to help pit bulls who've been mistreated and exploited, please check out this site: Pit Bull Rescue.

By the way, if you're wondering what Goosetine is looking at in most of these shots...it's a pesky squirrel who was teasin' us the whole time!

Goose was exhausted after her modeling gig. Barbara wrapped her up in some cozy blankets on the couch for a nice, long nap. What a life!

The pictures are wonderful. My favorite is goosetine looking down the front of your jacket.
