Hello from San Antonio

Long time no post. Well, first that stupid cold knocked me out for 10 days straight...and now I'm down in Texas getting some R&R! Nothing like some good ol' family time to make me feel better. I'll be chillin' here for a week, so no posts for awhile. But I promise I'll make up for it when I return. I've got tons of really fun sessions to post and I still haven't even told you about my amazing experience at WPPI in Las Vegas. Until then...have a great week!

Leisa + Kaylee

I didn't come back from Vegas with the jackpot, but I did come home with a fever of 102, a headache, and the worst sore throat in the world. *Insert Debbie Downer sound effects.* Seriously though, WPPI was an amazing & inspirational experience and I'm already implementing lessons I learned into the business and my photography!

I also came back with some fun pictures from a maternity shoot. While in Vegas, I got together with some of my close high school friends. Leisa was literally about to pop at any minute, so Matt goes - "Why don't you two go do a maternity session?" DUH. I think we were just so excited to see each other, it slipped our minds! We met up the very next morning on Freemont Street (the OLD Las Vegas) and this is what we came up with.

Kaylee was born on March 20! Congratulations Leisa, Keith & Kamren!!!

WHAT?!?!?!

Woo hoo! This month my blog hit the 10,000 mark for visitors! That means more than 10,000 peeps from around the world have clicked on my blog link, either on purpose or on accident. Through my blog, I actually met an artist in Poland with the last name Cieluch who googled "Cieluch." Whether you're a long lost relative or just like to stare at pictures...THANK YOU! Thank you 10,ooo times to everyone who has stopped by!

Only in Vegas...

...will you find a man who jumps in the middle of a maternity shoot! He swore he was 7 months along! :)

I've got so much to show & tell, but I'm still detoxing from the smoke, neon lights, people and coin-clinking noise. I'm off to sip some hot tea and hang out with my doggies. Until next time, here's a snapshot from the maternity shoot I did down there with a dear friend from high school!

Destination: Las Vegas

I'm taking off tonight for WPPI - Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. It's a HUGE convention and trade show with the coolest new products, workshops, speakers and more than 10,000 photographers. I'll be back late next week and will return my emails and phone calls as soon as I can. Happy Friday!

Kelsey

Meet Miss Congeniality. Yep, that's right. She's stunning AND super nice. Kelsey and I got together to shoot some fun pictures for the upcoming Miss Montana United States Pageant. Even her mom and sister came along to help - holding a reflector, choosing locations and making us all laugh! Kelsey already has some titles under her belt. The Great Falls native won Miss Teen Montana International 2006, but her proudest title came when she was awarded Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants. She has my vote!

Ava: One Year Old

Baby Ava is now in the single digits and her parents couldn't be the more perfect picture of *proud.* They wanted to capture her age, sweet smile and all of her funny expressions. Completely cute. We even wrapped up our shoot with a good, ol' bubble bath!

Candice + Matt

When this adorable couple asked me to shoot their wedding, I tried to learn as much as I could about them. Cars quickly found their way into the conversation. Matt is crazy about classic cars...and Candice is such a sweetie that she doesn't seem to get annoyed like I sometimes do when my Matt goes on & on about cars. So, picking out the location of their engagement shoot was a no-brainer. We started out at a car garage and ended up in the backyard of a car repair shop. See you two in August!
