Sharing the Spotlight
Back when I was in high school, some of the props used in pictures were cheesy to the max. Roses, piano keyboard backgrounds (even if the person didn't play the piano)...and of course, the big ol' Class of *whatever year it is* sign that seniors would lay down in front of. I vowed I'd never use corny, mass production props if I became a photographer...but I do encourage my clients to incorporate personal things, or in this case, animals who are important to them. Dede means the world to Cat. What a pair!
When the sun is too bright...use it to your advantage. Gotta love the flare...
I agree that the silhouette shot is amazing and one that she'll definitely have forever and ever. wonderful job and she is so beautiful and pure. love ya, kort
Taking pictures is something I like to call telling stories. My interest in photography started in college while I was writing features for local newspapers. I fell in love with the way photojournalists captured spontaneous, natural and emotional moments. There's no "cheese." No random props. No awkward poses. When you're looking at a portrait, you shouldn't be looking at a picture. You should be looking at a person.
It's never too early to start planning for your Christmas card! I'm now booked until mid-January for sessions. For Christmas orders, my deadline is November 25th so please get your orders in as early as possible! And if you're interested in what my holiday cards look like, here's a look at some from last year!
The outside of a trifold card (the guy in this card - Jason Johnson - is actually the one who designed all of these cards! He's the best!) the inside...
Hello there! I want to know who is stopping by to browse. Who are you? :)
