The Walters Family
We nearly had to take a rain check on this shoot, but the Walters family stuck it out! It was threatening to rain the whole time, then all of a sudden there was a downpour. They really wanted to make it work though, so we just took frequent breaks and made the weather part of the whole experience. I love that they literally let their hair down...and got it wet! We also did the entire session at their home, which is one of the most beautiful spots I've ever seen.
Before I took off, I snagged some quick ones of the dogs! Too cute!
Taking pictures is something I like to call telling stories. My interest in photography started in college while I was writing features for local newspapers. I fell in love with the way photojournalists captured spontaneous, natural and emotional moments. There's no "cheese." No random props. No awkward poses. When you're looking at a portrait, you shouldn't be looking at a picture. You should be looking at a person.
It's never too early to start planning for your Christmas card! I'm now booked until mid-January for sessions. For Christmas orders, my deadline is November 25th so please get your orders in as early as possible! And if you're interested in what my holiday cards look like, here's a look at some from last year!
The outside of a trifold card (the guy in this card - Jason Johnson - is actually the one who designed all of these cards! He's the best!) the inside...
Hello there! I want to know who is stopping by to browse. Who are you? :)
