Geannine + Jennifer
They have their own little language. They have a funny nickname for themselves. They live on opposite sides of the country, but they remain close. They're sisters who share the same love for family, life and shoes. They are fun and spontaneous so they didn't want someone telling them "tilt your head that way...more, ok...hold it..." or "say cheese." I literally just hung out with them and captured them talking and laughing. They're also the biggest sports ever! They braved swarms of mosquitoes and rain for this shoot! You girls are awesome...and make me miss my sisters.
Taking pictures is something I like to call telling stories. My interest in photography started in college while I was writing features for local newspapers. I fell in love with the way photojournalists captured spontaneous, natural and emotional moments. There's no "cheese." No random props. No awkward poses. When you're looking at a portrait, you shouldn't be looking at a picture. You should be looking at a person.
It's never too early to start planning for your Christmas card! I'm now booked until mid-January for sessions. For Christmas orders, my deadline is November 25th so please get your orders in as early as possible! And if you're interested in what my holiday cards look like, here's a look at some from last year!
The outside of a trifold card (the guy in this card - Jason Johnson - is actually the one who designed all of these cards! He's the best!) the inside...
Hello there! I want to know who is stopping by to browse. Who are you? :)
